Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from updates
Krissy and the kids are still on walkabout. They've extended their stay in Duluth for a bit. I shall fly out for my first visit in a bit less than two weeks. I am very much looking forward to it. We call and Skype, but it's not the same at all.

Puff, our cat, is thoroughly dissatisfied with the amount I'm home. She would really like me to stop faffing about with this unimportant and annoying "job" thing and keep her company. There aren't other people doing that now. Priorities, man!

In general, work continues apace, at Daqri and outside of it.

After a couple of quickly-released versions, that game I was looking forward to is just about playable on my Mac with Boot Camp. Score! I have now done more of that. I've also been giving feedback on the forum, running GPU profiles and uploading them and otherwise helping out the devs where I can, because hey, I'm a geek.

Did I mention the summer book sale thing? It went well. I came out feeling like I totally did not pull my weight, even after a really-pretty-good showing in terms of emails, my mailing list and them ordering the book package. But several other people involved had a better-than-pretty-good showing. I did manage to sell book packages (traceably) to around a third of how many people are on my mailing list. I am just 'competing with' people with much larger lists. And by 'competing with' I mean 'feeling guilty about profiting from.'

The foot grater is still pretty darn good. I have discovered a couple of things to carefully *not* do with it, but overall it's been highly useful and convenient, and my feet are clearly the better for it.
